JOURNAL ENTRY

All right, so the past two days I haven't been able to stay asleep at night. So basically, I've been taking two short naps every 24hr period, rather than just sleeping at night. Kind of annoying, really. But, because of this I've been awake, alone, with no one to talk to (my friends are all smart and asleep LOL), and so I needed something to do. What did I choose to do? Of course, overhaul my entire website... AGAIN. And so v3 of my site has launched! I'm pretty freakin proud of it, lemme tell ya what.

It all started with the images. I had sketched out a concept for a friend of mine, ~danielazarc, who was going to help me redesign the thing by doing the images for me. So I decided, what the hell, I'm bored, what would it hurt to try creating the images myself? And what do ya know, I shocked myself with a masterpiece!

Well, once I had those images I went to TOWN. Like, I spent HOURS wasting and slaving away in front of the computer. And I didn't even notice how long it was, either. One second it was 8am, the next thing I knew I'd missed lunch. Crazy I tell ya, CRAZY!

The hardest part, honestly, were the damn galleries. I forgot one small snippet of code at first, so they didn't want to work. And re-exporting all the images from Lightroom at a different size... took so long. D: I think the most annoying part of it though, was this ONE IMAGE that would not work. I don't know what was wrong with it, but after three re-uploads and a cache clear, it finally worked. The dumb thing is that all the other images in the same containing folder were fine, and this one was right smack dab in the middle. Oh well I guess, at least it works now. Dumb thing.

I'm also happy to say I finally have me some drop-down menus! So now not only can you go to the main galleries, but the sub-galleries are easy access too! YAY! Had some layering issues with the flash galleries though, so it's not as spiffy right around them, but I don't think it matters much. Just a little extra space. :]

And yes, I really do mean it's PURPLE. Screw the normal black and white photography website stuff. Purple is my favourite colour, so dammit, my website is purple. D< LOL
